CHRIS GIFFORD

Chris Gifford, from a young age, harbored a deep passion for filmmaking and storytelling, which became evident when he was merely 10 years old. His father, recognizing this fervor, ensured that Chris had access to the necessary equipment and software, particularly with Adobe’s emergence in the early 1990s and Steve Jobs’ departure from Apple to launch NEXT computers, for which his father procured two workstations. Chris’s upbringing was steeped in artistic training, starting at the age of 6, where he was classically trained as an artist, honing skills in drawing, painting, and sculpting. Throughout his life, he remained immersed in the realm of art and creative storytelling, viewing it all as preparation for his ultimate calling.

As he transitioned from adolescence to adulthood, Chris pursued his passion by attending the Art Institute of Dallas, a decision that proved pivotal in his journey. There, he was consistently challenged and pushed beyond his perceived limits, fostering an environment where failure was not feared but rather embraced as a stepping stone to growth. His post-graduation years were marked by freelance work, during which he founded The Brown Lab, a pioneering video marketing company that produced a remarkable volume of content ahead of its time. However, personal challenges necessitated a temporary hiatus as Chris shifted focus to his role as a husband and father, reentering the realm of freelance work.

Following a tumultuous period marked by divorce and single parenthood, Chris found himself part of The Story Concept, a rapidly expanding video production company. This phase provided invaluable lessons in leadership, collaboration, and storytelling on a larger scale, as he forged meaningful professional relationships within a dynamic team environment. In 2022, Chris embarked on a new chapter with his second wife, Jamie, catalyzing the launch of Thread Pull, a company dedicated to empowering brands seeking to initiate impactful movements.

At present, Chris finds himself in the throes of his calling, surrounded by a talented team poised for what lies ahead. With a firm focus on storytelling, Thread Pull is set to embark on a journey encompassing podcasts, documentaries, and scripted narratives, all centered around God’s principles of biblical manhood, marriage, family, and stewardship. Through this endeavor, Chris aims to redefine societal perceptions and inspire men to embrace their God-given roles as leaders and nurturers.
